Baloch Yakhjeti Committee Announces One-Day Social Media Campaign

On 30 August, the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee is announcing a one-day social media campaign to highlight the ongoing human rights violations and enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

For many years, Thousands of families in Balochistan have been waiting for their loved ones who were forcibly disappeared. These families continue to live with pain and uncertainty, without knowing whether their loved ones are alive or dead.

Families of disappeared persons share detailed accounts of their loved ones, including their lives, the circumstances of their disappearance, and the suffering and uncertainty they have endured while waiting for their return.

Through this campaign, we call for the immediate disclosure of the whereabouts of all disappeared persons and for their families to be given truthful information.

We also call on human rights organisations, journalists, civil society and people around the world to raise their voices for the victims of enforced disappearances and their families.

Every disappeared person has a family waiting for them. Their families have the right to truth and justice.
